MGM Resorts International has refuted recent reports alleging that Bruno Mars accumulated significant debt with the entertainment company.

Speculation arose following claims by NewsNation suggesting that the acclaimed singer incurred over $50 million in debt at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas since commencing a long-term residency contract in 2016.

MGM’s Statement:

In response to these allegations, MGM Resorts told Billboard about its positive relationship with Bruno Mars. The company expressed pride in Mars’ performances, highlighting his status as one of the world’s most captivating entertainers. 

MGM emphasized the global appeal of Mars’ shows, citing venues such as Dolby Live at Park MGM and the newly opened Pinky Ring Lounge at Bellagio. 

The statement categorically denied any debt owed by Mars to MGM, asserting that the partnership between the two entities is characterized by mutual respect and enduring collaboration. MGM expressed eagerness to continue delivering exceptional experiences for its guests alongside Mars.

Bruno Mars Career Highlights:

Bruno Mars, renowned for his chart-topping hits and electrifying performances, achieved remarkable success with his 2016 solo project, “24K Magic.” 

The album, featuring popular tracks like the titular song, “That’s What I Like,” and “Versace on the Floor,” garnered widespread acclaim. 

“That’s What I Like” topped the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart, while “24K Magic” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart in December 2016.

Collaborative Ventures:

Following his solo endeavors, Mars joined forces with Anderson. Paak will form the highly acclaimed duo Silk Sonic. 

Their collaborative album, “An Evening With Silk Sonic,” released in 2021, received critical acclaim and commercial success. 

The standout track, “Leave the Door Open,” earned four Grammy awards, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Performance.
