In a surprising turn of events on Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” it was Spaghetti & Meatballs who rolled out of the competition during “Billy Joel Night” on Wednesday (March 20).
Billy Joel Night:
The evening saw the celebrity contestants performing iconic Billy Joel songs, with Spaghetti & Meatballs, Poodle Moth, Clock, and Lizard taking the stage.
Spaghetti & Meatballs performed “Only the Good Die Young,” while the other contestants showcased their renditions of Joel’s classics.
Duel for Survival:
Spaghetti & Meatballs and Lizard found themselves in the bottom bracket, competing for a lifeline. Both performed “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song),” but ultimately, it was Spaghetti & Meatballs who faced elimination.
Before bidding farewell to the competition, Spaghetti & Meatballs removed the helmet to reveal none other than Masterchef judge and restaurateur Joe Bastianich – a personal friend of Billy Joel.
Judges’ Reactions:
Despite the unmasking, the judges were surprised by Bastianich’s hidden talent. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg praised his incredible voice, while Bastianich explained that singing has been a lifelong passion for him.
Bastianich’s unmasking follows the exit of Savannah Chrisley (as Afghan Hound) and Kevin Hart (as Book) in this 11th season of “The Masked Singer.”
Nick Cannon continues to host the show, with returning judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and newcomer Rita Ora.
