Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaborative album “Vultures 1” continues its reign atop the Billboard 200 albums chart for a second consecutive week, according to data from Luminate.
Despite a 50% decrease in equivalent album units, “Vultures 1” secured 75,000 units in its second week in the U.S.
Chart-Topping Success for Ye:
“Vultures 1” marks a significant milestone for Ye, as it becomes his first album since 2011’s “Watch the Throne” with Jay-Z to spend multiple weeks at No. 1.
Among Ye’s 11 chart-topping albums, only three have achieved this feat: “Vultures 1,” “Watch the Throne,” and 2005’s “Late Registration,” all spending two weeks at the summit.
Breakthrough Debut for Yeat’s “2093:”
Yeat achieved his highest-charting album yet on the Billboard 200 with the debut of “2093” at No. 2.
The album earned an impressive 70,000 equivalent units in its first week, marking Yeat’s most successful week by units earned. Notably, “2093” garnered significant streaming success, with SEA units comprising 58,000.
Diverse Editions Drive Sales:
“2093” saw various reissues, contributing to its chart performance. Initially released as a 22-song standard album, it was reissued in deluxe editions, labeled “2093 P2” and “2093 P3,” each featuring additional tracks.
These strategic releases, including a digital-only version with bonus tracks, contributed to the album’s robust sales figures.
Billboard 200 Methodology:
The Billboard 200 chart ranks albums based on multi-metric consumption, including album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
Each unit is derived from various sources, such as album sales, track sales, and on-demand audio and video streams.
