In a triumphant climb, Noah Kahan secures his first No. 1 single in Australia as “Stick Season” rises 2-1 on the ARIA Chart, published on February 2.
The track reaches the top spot in its 15th week on the tally, marking a significant achievement for the artist in the Australian music scene.
Successful Australia Tour and Performance:
Noah Kahan recently completed his We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour in Australia, making stops across Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth.
The tour, produced by Live Nation, drew an audience of over 50,000 people. Kahan also made his breakfast TV debut with an in-studio performance of “Stick Season” on Channel 7’s Sunrise.
With the success of “Stick Season,” Noah Kahan is set to release “Stick Season (Forever)” on February 9, marking the final pieces of his release strategy.
This follows the rollout of the Stick Season album in 2022 and Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) in late July 2023.
Triple J’s Hottest 100 Impact:
Several entries from Triple J’s Hottest 100 poll experience chart bumps, including the winner “Paint The Town Red” by Doja Cat, which rises 10-6 on the ARIA Chart.
Dom Dolla’s “Saving Up” makes a significant leap from 44-11 on the chart after coming in at No. 3 on the Triple J poll. With seven songs in the Hottest 100, G Flip sees their album “Drummer” returning at No. 42.
Taylor Swift’s Continued Dominance:
Taylor Swift maintains her stronghold on the ARIA Albums Chart as “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” holds the No. 1 position for the 13th non-consecutive week.
The album is on the verge of tying as Swift’s longest-reigning album in Australia if it logs one more week at No. 1. Swift’s total number of weeks at No. 1 across 12 albums reaches 55, starting with “Speak Now” in 2010.
The top debut on the album chart is Smile’s “Wall Of Eyes” (XL/Inertia), entering at No. 7. As the second album from the Radiohead side project, it follows the success of “A Light For Attracting Attention,” which peaked at No. 15 on the ARIA Chart in 2022.
