“Cruel Summer” dominates the ARIA Singles Chart for the second week, while “Midnights” maintains its reign at the top of the album list.
Swift’s Impact on ARIA Charts
Taylor Swift’s recent tour of Australia may have concluded, but her influence continues to reverberate on the ARIA Charts. Following her successful seven-date, two-city tour, Swift’s tracks and albums maintain a strong presence on the charts.
Continued Chart Domination
Swift’s single “Cruel Summer” from her album Lover (Universal) retains its position at the top of the singles chart for a second consecutive week.
Meanwhile, her album Midnights holds firm at No. 1 on the albums chart, marking its 16th non-consecutive week at the summit.
All-Tay Tay Top Six
The ARIA Charts showcase an all-Taylor Swift top six on the latest tally, with Midnights leading the pack, followed by Lover, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Folklore, Reputation, and Evermore, respectively.
Additionally, Swift maintains the No. 8 spot with Red (Taylor’s Version), achieving a remarkable feat of seven albums in the top 10 for the second consecutive week, equaling her own ARIA Chart record.
Successful Tour Run
Swift’s sold-out performances at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (three dates) and Sydney’s Accor Stadium (four dates) were a highlight of her tour, produced by Frontier Touring. Following her Australian stint, Swift is scheduled for a six-night residency at Singapore National Stadium.
Top New Release
The top new entry on the national albums survey is Swing Fever (Rhino/Warner), the collaborative effort from Rod Stewart and Jools Holland. Debuting at No. 19, this marks Stewart’s 32nd top 20 appearance on the ARIA Charts and his first since 2019.
Chart Success History
Rod Stewart boasts a remarkable chart history, with seven ARIA No. 1 albums dating back to 1971’s Every Picture Tells A Story. Jools Holland, known as a British bandleader and TV presenter, previously entered the top 20 in 1979 with Cool For Cats as a member of Squeeze.
Swing Fever also claimed the top spot on the midweek U.K. albums chart, solidifying its success across borders.
