Remixed Release:

Irish rock band U2 has released a remixed version of their recent single, ‘Atomic City,’ courtesy of renowned DJ and producer David Guetta.

The single was initially released in September, coinciding with the start of U2’s Las Vegas residency at the MSG Sphere venue.

Grammy Performance Inside Las Vegas Sphere:

While U2 did not perform in Los Angeles for the 2024 Grammy Awards, they made a distinctive impact with a performance of ‘Atomic City’ broadcast from the Las Vegas Sphere.

The technologically advanced venue provided a unique visual experience, showcasing the band’s presence inside the Sphere through innovative camera perspectives and a 360-degree view of the audience.

Tribute to Crowded House:

During their Sphere residency, U2 paid tribute to Crowded House by covering the band’s iconic song ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over.’

The performance served as a tribute to Neil Finn, Crowded House’s frontman, and Tim Finn, his brother and longtime creative collaborator, as well as their mother Mary.

Live Performance of Classics:

U2 recently shared a live performance video of ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing,’ a classic track from their 1991 album ‘Achtung Baby.’ The song has remained a staple in the band’s setlists over the years.

Update on New Album:

Amidst their ongoing activities, U2 is reportedly working on a new album.

In a November interview, Bono mentioned that the progress of the record was “somewhat tied” to the medical status of drummer Larry Mullen Jr., who had been recovering from neck surgery. Mullen Jr. withdrew from participating in U2’s Las Vegas Sphere residency due to his health condition.
